point defiance zoo- aug. 2010

today aven and i went to point defiance zoo with a girlfriend and her newborn. it was a beautiful day and the highlight was being able to see the newborn tiger cubs. they are considered an endangered species and were featured on the TODAY show when they were born. it was a great day and we had a wonderful time!

the past few days have been really nice here, it's actually gotten up into the 90's! to cool off a little we inflated aven's pool so she could play around for a little while. her and tonic had a blast splashing in the water!

randoms- spring/summer 2010

i backed up my phone and was able to download some random mobile pics from the past few months. there are several from our trip home with aven picking tomatoes, her first plane ride, fishing at the lakehouse, and having fun with eli. there are also a few from our weekend trip to ocean shores listening to the live band and dancing.

enjoy! they're all over the place as far as time, but she was having fun in all of them.

pikes place market- aug. 2010

this weekend we went to seattle to visit pikes place in search of the world's greatest mac n cheese, bbq and cheesecake. the mac n cheese and cheesecake were a huge success! we visited the original starbucks and waited almost an hour to order half and half lemonade and tea, ha ha. it was worth it though, the building is really neat and all the fixtures are original. from there we went into the market and saw all the fresh fish and flower vendors, some of the most beautiful flowers ever and they're super cheap (mental note for the next time i have people over for dinner). we went down to the pier and walked by the water heading towards ivar's, a local fish and chip place, and it was delicious. hank the seagull became our new best friend and aven was able to feed him out of her hand. she had a blast meeting the drag queens, they adored her instantly when she walked up to them and told them they were pretty (pronounced 'pwetty')! it was a beautiful day and we had a great time, can't wait to go back!
