northwest trek- WA

today we went to visit the northwest trek somewhere close to mount rainier (not exactly sure on the exact location, just know it was out there!) we had a great time, saw a bunch of bison with a baby bison, caribou, wolves, coyotes, grizzlies, and tons of other animals. the scenery was unbelievable. it was a gorgeous day and we'll definitely being going back again. they had a cross section of a tree that had been cut down and donated in 1974 that was over 640 years old. it was planted in the 1330's. as you can tell, it was very big. on the way up, there was this adorable little country store that reminded me of home so of course i had to take a picture of it.

Hands On Children's Museum

yesterday we spent the day at the Hands On children's museum. it was a really nice musuem and there was so much to explore we weren't able to do it all before we had to leave (i was getting weak and needed to eat which equals cranky). hopefully we'll be able to go back in a few weeks and finish up the exhibits. aven just might enjoy science like her moms, although it will come in second to dress up and dance!

sesame street live- tacoma, may 2010

we went to see sesame street live last night at the tacoma dome and aven had such a
great time! she danced and sang the entire show and loved watching abby and elmo. as much fun as she was having, she refused to take a decent picture with me, ha!

house- staged

these are the pics of the house when i was out in march, i'll put new pics up when i get everything unpacked, decorated and you can actually see house instead of cardboard.

the purple room is her bedroom- the walls will stay the same, going to decorate in black and white paris, eiffel tower theme.
the blue room is the playroom- installing chair rail and painting chalkboard paint on the bottom. blue will stay the same and will decorate with eric carle framed prints.
red room is the bonus room- painting a darker red almost like wine color.
the first room is the office downstairs.
the orange room is the formal dining room.
everywhere there is orange throughout the house will be painted a muted sage green.

boise zoo

on our way out we stopped and spent a few nights in boise ID to visit my FIL. him and aven had never met before so it was nice to be able to spend a day with him. unfortunately i only remembered to bring my camera to the zoo :) be sure and check out the meerkat, he made me laugh!

randoms- spring 2010

it's been a while since i've uploaded pics so here's a few randoms of what we've been up to. in march my girlfriends came in and rented a beach house out at tybee, we had a great time and aven loved playing with everyone. she got extra special loving from aunt pam and aunt jen! we went to the jacksonville zoo with jen, eli, erin and ryan. there's a few randoms of aven and i at tybee.
