birthday party fun

a couple of weeks ago we went to a birthday party for one of aven's friends and she had a great time. we went to the park and played in the rain, then came back and had yummy cake and ice cream.

i'm finally finished with aven's playroom. she loves the chalkboard circles on her wall and the project to hang her artwork was alot of fun. next off the list is the kitchen, barstools and artwork are ordered so when everything's finished i'll post pictures.

boomsday/ random knoxville pics

alot of you guys have been asking what boomsday is in knoxville, so here are some pics! it's a 30 minute synchronized fireworks show down by the river and you spend the day eating all the junk food you can hold with your favorite people. the other pics are of world's fair park and the sunsphere. (there used to be a restaurant up there, pretty cool views of the city)

ATL with all the girls

teri, stephanie, pam, jen and i all met in ATL with the kiddos and had an absolutely wonderful time! we ate and shopped all day and then laughed all night in the hotel before we all headed back to our various homes across the US. i have the most wondeful friends (wish everyone could have been there), i love you all so much!

point defiance zoo- aug. 2010

today aven and i went to point defiance zoo with a girlfriend and her newborn. it was a beautiful day and the highlight was being able to see the newborn tiger cubs. they are considered an endangered species and were featured on the TODAY show when they were born. it was a great day and we had a wonderful time!

the past few days have been really nice here, it's actually gotten up into the 90's! to cool off a little we inflated aven's pool so she could play around for a little while. her and tonic had a blast splashing in the water!
