trip to mo'town

forgot my camera this trip, so i was only able to take a few with my phone.

the planet wings has individual tv's at each booth- obviously aven was very happy with that.

this is the same merry-go-round that i grew up riding. i tried to ride it with her for a good photo, but i made it one time around and had to get off. i guess i should have packed my dramamine that day.

can't wait to see everyone again this weekend. congratulations, sarah- you're such a beautiful girl and best of luck!!
love you all-
amanda

trip to wild life center

aven and i went to the wild life center out at tybee and had a very nice trip until i saw another snake. i've had more encounters this month with snakes than i have my entire life!! needless to say that was the end of our outing in the woods. aven loved all the animals and it was a beautiful day.
useless info on the wildlife center: it was the orginally built as a senior health institute (hence the hospital like building), then later became the first center for disease control for the state of geogia.

random pics

here are some random updated pics of aven being her silly self.

#1: she loves to put the pot holders on her arms and run around the house pretending to fly and chase tonic. that poor dog, he's awesome for putting up with her sometimes!! wink, wink: i wonder if she is going to be like her mom and have a thing for pilots?

#2: nothing cures waking up on the wrong side of the crib at 6.30 in the morning like a pacifer and curious george. if only it were that easy for me!! i'm thinking i need to purchase stock in swiss miss hot chocolate.

#3: on our way to church to watch 25 crazy 2 year olds. they couldn't have created more efficient birth control if they tried!! (and yes, i got some sun that day)

#4: a guy that my mom works with is amazing at building solid wood toys- his latest gift to aven was this beautiful rocking horse. now i just need to find her some pink cowboy boots. oh how aven needs more shoes... i'm teaching her well.

sand gnats game

the local minor league baseball team here is called the 'sand gnats'. if you guys have ever visited in early summer you know what a pain they are.. think giant gnats the size of mosquitos that bite. we had a great time at the ball game and aven even tried her hand at photography (the one that is of nothing)!
love to everyone-
amanda
